Can the R20 be used on soft or uneven ground?
The use of the R20 is not recommended on soft or uneven ground. It may be possible if the R20 can generate enough grip (e.g., extra load, low rolling resistance). Use on cobblestone pavement is possible, but we do not recommend use on very dry, sandy, or extremely uneven ground.

What is the best position of the R20 in relation to the drive wheels?
The best position is exactly the same as the drive wheels, as there is almost no resistance when turning. If this is not possible, it can be positioned +150/-50mm in relation to the drive wheels.

Can you drive through puddles with the R20?
As the motor has a protection class of IP54 and if the puddle depth is less than the tire height, there should be no risk - but please always bear in mind the puddle depth.

Is there only one docking system for 22-28mm frame tube diameters?
Yes. The docking system A covers frame tube diameters from 22-28mm due to its design (shape of the clamping parts). In addition, there is a docking system B for 29-32mm tubing diameters, but the only difference is the length of the bolts.

Can you attach the R20 to frame tubes with a diameter of 30mm?
Why is the attachment angle of the R20 important?
The attachment angle must always be in a range between 20° and 45° to make sure that the drive wheel can automatically generate enough grip through its forward rotation.

Where do you attach the retaining straps for the backpack?
The training straps should be attached to the wheelchair frame so they cannot be misplaced or lost – never attach on removable parts of the chair.

How do you store the battery correctly (e.g. over winter)?
Store the battery in a dry, cool place at around 50-59° F. Ideally, the battery should be kept at a state of charge of roughly 75%. If it is stored too long with little charge, the voltage inside drops so drastically that a deep discharge may occur, which permanently damages the battery.
