What is the difference between adductor and abductor wedges/supports?
Adductor wedges are designed to bring the knees closer together. An abductor support is designed to spread the knees. An abductor is also called a pommel.
Is the Dartex inner cover provided on some JAY cushions water-resistant?
Yes, it has a water-resistant quality to protect the inner foam/gel/urethane.
What is the difference between item numbers that end in an "F" and item numbers that end "AT"?
Parts with "F" on the end come with zippered air exchange covers. This does not however always apply to the cover parts (e.g. C2477F is not a valid part number). Items with "AT" at the end are parts for countries that require a CE marking/for air exchange covers that require zippers.
Some cushions use fluid packs that are similar to gel. What are these made from?
The JAY fluid packs are made of a vegetable oil-based fluid and are not considered 'gel'. They form well around a client's posture and are excellent at promoting skin protection.
The fluid in the JAY cushion has become stiff/hard. Is this normal?
The fluid pads in JAY cushions may become stiff after 4-5 years of consistent use and will require a direct replacement.
