RGK Tiga Sub4 Release
Concord, Ontario, October 2, 2017 –
Today, Sunrise Medical is pleased to announce the release of the ultra-lightweight TIGA Sub4 rigid wheelchair. This new product embraces innovation to enhance the premium TIGA platform, leading to the creation of an even lighter and more advanced offering. With 72 new upgrades, including the unique Sub4 upholstery, shortened axle and pin setup, specially designed super light Froglegs casters, and corrosion resistant titanium fasteners, this wheelchair is as rigid and stable as it is lightweight.
Created with aerospace grade aluminum, your “made to measure” frame is guaranteed to be under 4 kg, with the exact weight written on your certified frame. This includes all standard components such as compact wheel locks, carbon fiber side guards with fenders, Froglegs casters, carbon fiber footrest covers, and upholstery. The rear wheels and cushion are not part of the certified frame weight as they can be easily removed for transportation.
“The ease of pushing, turning and transferring into my car with such a light wheelchair was a breath of fresh air.”
- Matthew Baynham
The Sub4 glides effortlessly due to the lightweight and rigid frame without compromising quality. Each tube in the frame has been reviewed and analyzed to ensure any excess weight is removed and the reliability is maintained. Boasting all the same reliable features of the TIGA with its similar frame design and materials, the Sub4 is not only light but incredibly durable.
